March 2, 2006 March 4th - Roller Derby! - That's right, Roller Derby is back and better than ever- the Northstate now has it's own roller derby team, Nor Cal Rollergirls. With teams from Chico and Sacramento, the teams will battle it out right here at Cal Skate! The first exhibition match will happen on March 4th at 8pm. Doors open at 7pm. Admission is $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Alcohol will be served by Bella's Sports Pub to those 21 and over (ID required). Socially Pink will be providing the live music for the night. October 12, 2005 So we are back up to practice again. We went into the Chico State Recording Studio last week to lay down one of our new ones. We will post it up for you if it comes out any good. Studio is built and practice is pretty regular. We played a kick ass show about two weeks ago at Me. Lucky's in Chico. We were invited this week to play in Roseville at the Owl Club on Sept 30th. May 31, 2005 Good to see, those of you who made it, in Tahoe this weekend. Lets just say retardation was the theme. We didn’t get to play once again, like quite a few shows lately that we have had to cancel. We all have been busy diddling ourselves. We did work on the building of our new practice space yesterday, which we have been doing a lot of lately. Some of the Valentine crew came along to lend a hand. I was still a retarded wreck which caused a few self inflicted injuries, including shooting a nail through my finger with the nail gun. We lost our studio and need to build a new one, some of our lives are on the skidz, our drummer secretly still plays in a preppy dance party band, Schwenk was arrested for bestiality, and Dain is a perfect angel.
